Powering Industrial Production with Ground-Mounted Solar Energy
Coopers Gourmet Foods is an industrial food production facility located in Roden, where maintaining reliable power and controlling operational costs are essential for efficient day-to-day manufacturing.
Industrial facilities require significant and reliable energy to maintain daily operations. For this site, roof space was limited, making a traditional roof-mounted solar installation less practical. The business required a solution that would help reduce energy costs and carbon emissions while making effective use of the available land around the facility.

Supporting Sustainable Manufacturing Through Solar PV
We installed a 140kW ground-mounted pile-driven solar PV system. The system features Sharp 320W solar panels mounted on a Sunfixings ground frame, rather than on the roof.
This setup captures sunlight and converts it into electricity for industrial use, helping reduce energy bills and carbon emissions. Ground-mounted systems are ideal for businesses with limited roof space but ample open areas, allowing panels to be positioned for maximum sun exposure. The system is fully integrated with the business’s electrical network to reduce electricity bills and enhance sustainability.
