Harnessing solar energy to power a home with clean, renewable electricity
A domestic property in Baschurch sought a renewable energy solution that would reduce electricity costs while supporting a more sustainable way of living.
With limited roof space available for a traditional installation, a ground-mounted solar PV system was proposed to make effective use of the open space surrounding the property. Ground-mounted systems allow panels to be positioned at the optimal angle and orientation for maximum sun exposure.

Delivering Renewable Energy for Sustainable Living
In March 2025, a 10kW ground-mounted solar PV system was installed using Longi 435W solar panels mounted on a Sunfixings ground frame, along with battery storage to capture and store excess electricity generated during the day.
The system is fully integrated with the home’s electrical network, enabling the homeowner to generate clean electricity on-site, reduce reliance on grid power, and improve overall energy efficiency.
